The rooms at Bayeux Guest Room Le Vivier are simply stunning! I stayed in a room with views of the garden and it was so peaceful and beautiful. The king size bed was incredibly comfortable and I had the best night's sleep. The soundproofed room with a private entrance was perfect for me as a bike rider. I could come and go without bothering anyone. Plus, the shower had great water pressure and the toiletries were a nice touch. I loved that there was a fully equipped kitchen in the larger room. It was so convenient to be able to prepare my own meals during my stay.

Personally, I didn't enjoy the pond view from my room. It just wasn't my cup of tea.

The decoration at the hotel was charming, with beautiful French countryside touches. The general areas were cozy and welcoming, perfect for relaxing and enjoying the peaceful surroundings. As a senior woman, I found the hotel accessible, with comfortable staircases and easy navigation throughout the property.

It would have been even better if there were more handrails or support in the bathrooms and hallways to ensure a safer stay for senior guests.

During my Christmas stay, I loved the cozy atmosphere of the hotel. The room was beautifully decorated and made me feel right at home. The homemade breakfast was a delightful treat, with delicious croissants and homemade jams. The location of the hotel was also perfect, with easy access to the D-day landing beaches and other popular tourist sites in Normandy.

One thing that disappointed me was the lack of communication from the staff. I was unable to find them in the morning to say goodbye and it would have been nice to have some interaction before leaving.
